Recent updates... Lemme see.
[December 25]
Spent Christmas at Bear's. He was kind enough to buy me Kingdom Hearts as my Christmas present *^_^* I was wrapped (naturally) =) We spent a great deal of time playing that during the day, as well as watching the extended LOTR DVD that I bought him for Christmas...
[December 26]
Today was opening day for LOTR: Two Towers. You'll never believe how incredibly DIFFICULT it was to find a place to watch it >.< Being opening day, every Gold Class cinema was booked out for a whole month... And every normal screening of Two Towers were full up until 8 on that night x_x We went to most of the cinemas in the CDB (as well as the Jam Factory in South Yarra) but all of them were the same. PACKED & FULL. We ended up going back to the Werribee 10 cinemas (which was conviniently closer to our house than most). The session that we wanted to go to was full, so we settled for the 8pm session. Luckily we were there in time to buy the tickets. There was only 6 tickets left at the time and there were five of us O_o Close call >.<
The trauma was worth it though. The movie was AWESOME, although apparently not as true to the book as the first O_o Oh well... It was still good to our standards =P

Bear was filming some more of his movie. It's only short cause it's a piece for his VCA portfolio.

Got work again. We were meant to go to the beach this morning but everyone was slack =P After work, we're going back to my cousin's house to celebrate there. They live right in front of the beach. No doubt we'll be celebrating it there ^_^

It's been a while since I last updated this LJ... I think it's about time that I voiced something... This actually matters to me.
In this current frame of time, I have just been a victim of physical abuse. I'm actually sitting here in my chair trembling, which some of you may find quite hard to believe... Regardless, I'm still frightened. Not because of the actual act itself, cause when it comes to physical pain, I'm able to hold off quite a fair bit on my own. I'm frightened about the consequences. I don't know from here on end what's going to happen and whether or not this will continue later in much more severity than that of tonight. But I honestly don't know what to do... I'm scared of being alone... Although there is another person here. That person is none other but the father that hit me.
Believe me or not... That decision is up to you. I just felt as though I needed to get this out... This isn't something that should just be hidden...

Well, the Melbourne Anime Festival just passed this weekend (August 10th and 11th). The attendance was fair, as Anime isn't as popular here as it should be and the activities were ok too. However, on the Saturday, we were having trouble trying to find things to do O_o
Sunday was FUN *^_^* As well as turning up in a completed Yuna costume (and getting glances from people who don't know who she is), it was fun stuffing around with the other cosplayers =) My big thanks to Lizzie who helped me tie Yuna's obi up (which took about an hour O_o) and to Chuck for blackmailing me into entering the cosplay competition =) The outcome was actually successful, as I ended up coming second place for my costume =)
Well, that's all for now. Sooner or later, I'll launch my cosplay site and post some pics =)

The Melbourne Anime Festival is coming up this weekend O_o I'm doing a lot of streinous last-minute touches to my Yuna costume >.< My sewing machine seems to be playing up on me at the moment and I'm stressing whether or not I can get the last of it all done -_- What makes it worse is the fact that I have too much school work and stuff to worry about for tomorrow, which leaves me doing basically everything that I HAVEN'T finished tomorrow night x_x I hope it all works out though. Pics will be posted as soon as they're done =)

It's on Geocities though cause I haven't taught Bear how to FTP yet O_o I will though, hopefully in the near future...

Aiyah... Finally gotten a chance to get back to my LJ again O_o Been out every day of the holz cept last Monday. My cousin and Grandma from Hawaii is staying for the next month, so we'll be taking them sight-seeing basically every day >.< Rin has work for the next three days and longs for plenty rest -_-
On Saturday, we're planning to take my cuz to the Red underage at Salt. She'll be able to get a feel of underage clubbing here O_o Not that it'll be much different or anything... Oh well. It'll be fun anyway... Haven't been clubbing in ages O_o

*aCk* Rinni very tired at the moment O_o Since Friday, Rin has been a lil busy bumP O_o And hasn't had much rest at all >.< Well, comfortable rest (if you get what me mean) O_o
On Friday, it was the last day of term 2... Rin is currently on a two week vacation *siGh oF reLieF* But vacation for Rin usually means work anyway >.< In which on Friday night, Rin had a four and a half hour shift. Rinni assumed that work that night would have been one of the worst possible days, but it actually turned out to be one of the best =) Pity Squally (Bear) wasn't there though. Rinni missed him -_-
Saturday was another day of hard work for Rin O_o Rinni had a six and a half hour shift (minus half an hour for a break, of course!) starting at 10 am. Rinni had to wake up at 7 am to get to work. In the back of Rin's mind, she had also assumed that work would've been bad that day, but again, it wasn't *^_~* After work, Squally (Bear) came by work and surprised Rin by taking her to see Scooby Doo (soOoO CUTE!) =P Another good day for Rin *^_~*
On Sunday (today), Rinni went on a snow trip to Lake Mountain with Squally and his family. Rinni woke up at 5 am only to find out that Squally and his family were running late anyway >.< On the way up to Lake Mountain, Rinni fell into a deep sleep to avoid car sickness O_o Whilst at Lake Mountain, everyone engaged into mini snow fights and also went tobogganing. Squally and Rin also spent THREE whole hours constructing a snow bear =) Rin will post pics of the snow bear later though. Many people found the snow bear amusing and took pics of Rin and Squally beside their new creation *^_^*
Rin is currently contemplating playing RO once again and calling Squally before retiring for the night. Rin is also hyped up for her long awaited 'day of rest' tomorrow, seeming that it's one of the only days of Rin's vacation that she hasn't gotten anything planned =)

Played RO last night O_o aiYaH! I connected to it, wandered around, and get disconnected every 5 or so minutes >.< Talk about dodgy O_o And then trying to reconnect takes at LEAST a good TEN minutes -_- The game was ok though... I just gotta get used to it and hold on till Bear, Liz and company start playing O_o
Btw, it was me and Bear's 6 month anni yesterday *HuKkLeS* Instead of buying him an Ayu CD, I ended up getting him a Rikku model (which he's been looking for desperately >.<). It cost about... HrmmMmMs... $75?

HmmMmMmm... Wanna hear something kinda uncanny? Wellz...
This morning, I was reading a book called Duty Free by Hazel Edwards. Whilst reading, I stumbled across something that struck my attention. It was a riddle.
'The man who made it didn't know who it was for.
'The man who bought it didn't really want it.
'And the man who ir was for, didn't know about it.
I knew straight away what the answer was. Not because of my common sense though... Not so shocking yet, eh? But this was the weird thing...
The book I read JUST BEFORE Duty Free was Caliban Cove (Book 2 of the Resident Evil novelization series) written by S.D. Perry, in which there was this SAME riddle...
The man who makes it doesn't need it. The man who buys it doesn't want it. The man who uses it doesn't know it.
THAT's how I knew the answer. Two books in a row, two TOTALLY DIFFERENT stories, SAME riddle. Isn't it a bit TOO coincidental that I read these books one after the other?! O_o HrmMmMs...

It's been a strange week... Funny how on minute, everything seems like a dream. Yet, the next, you fall and wake up to reality. Reality bites. Simple enough. I guess it's all that WE make of it - and I don't seem to be making a lot of it.
Funny how in my previous post, I'd mentioned that I was giving Destiny a tune-up. Over the past week, I've been told that the server Destiny has been hosted on for the past 5 or so month is about to shut down. I'm about to lose everything I've done online. My sites, hosted images, the whole Destiny community... Bummer, eh? Just when Destiny was starting to pick up... I guess that was a valuable lesson not to take things for granted - you never know when you're going to lose something... Or when something unexpected is going to happen.
Oh well... I'll guess I'll recover sooner or later. At current, I'm trying to find a decent free host (which everyone knows is IMPOSSIBLE) to put my sites back up. Once that's done, I guess I'll cheer up a bit.
If only Bear were here...
He'd know exactly what to do...

AnyhooZ... I was fixing up Destiny this weekend. Time to get it moving =) The Harry Potter RP was a bit... Dead X_x So I've put up a Hogwarts Celebration RP to get it moving a bit =) I love party-like RPs *^_^* So fun =) I also added some more member-requested forums and etc, as well as doing some character approvals (for anyone who put up and original character profile)...
Also started posting in CBB more =) Glad to be back actually... I kinda missed that place cause I'm away basically all the time O_o
And... One last thing... Started planning out my Yuna costume for the Melbourne Anime Festival (MANIFEST). I was originally planning to go as Rinoa, but my hair's too short for it >.< Doesn't matter... Yuna has a purtyful costume anyway =) And I have well over a month's preparation to get the costume perfect... So it's all good =)

I was reading the package of a tea light candle today as I was about to light some Ylang Ylang oil... The package informed that the candle was supposed to burn for 9 hours. I lit the candle... Ten or so seconds later, the candle goes out.
I repeatedly told myself that it had been the shortest 9 hours of my life O_o

Well... Once again it's the school holidays O_o But is it actually a holiday for meeh? Nope.
As soon as school finished, my fam and I went to New Zealand for a vacation. It was ok... And it made me tired.
The very day I get back from NZ, I have to haul ass straight to work >.< I was rushing to get back from the airport only to find that my shift gets pushed back an hour and I finish about an hour and a half later than I'm supposed to (leaving me to catch the train at about 9 or 10 at night and then being at home by around... 11 O_o)
From that day on, I've been out every day... 97% of the time is for work... The other 3% is for when I... Well... Escort Bear to work. That meaning that I've been to work every day since I've gotten back... I've had hardly any rest and I have another work shift starting in about 3 hours O_o
I neeed some sleeeeeeep >.<
What makes it even worse is that I was supposed to only work a 6 hour shift yesterday... But I ended up working an extra 3 or so hours in cafe training and another 1 or 2 in the back... UNPAID O_o I ended up getting home last night at about 12am after going to Bear's house after my shift >.<
I reallllllly need some rest O_o And maybe some time to do my hw too O_o Otherwise I'll be hammered when I get back to school -_-
